Man to face court after cash and 250 cannabis plants seized

A 42-year-old Melba man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today on drug and trafficking charges including cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant.

ACT Policing’s Criminial Investigation Team executed search warrants in Spence last night (Wednesday, 13 June 2018) and seized approximately 250 cannabis plants and over $20,000 in Australian currency. The search of those premises remains ongoing.

The 42-year-old-male was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watchhouse where he was formally charged.

ACT Policing will continue to target and disrupt the illicit production, distribution and trafficking of drugs in the ACT.
