Man to face court for aggravated robbery in Lyneham

A 22-year-old male will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning following an aggravated robbery at the North Lyneham Mini Mart on Colville Street, Lyneham last week.

About 4.15pm on Friday 5 January 2018, the male entered the store and threatened an employee with a knife and firearm, before fleeing with a sum of cash.

As a result of information received from members of the public, on Monday 8 January 2018, ACT Criminal Investigations executed a search warrant in Hackett, ACT, where the male was located and arrested.

The male will face the ACT Magistrates Court to be charged with aggravated robbery, and bail will be opposed.

Investigations are ongoing in relation to identifying two people seen in the company of the male at the time of the robbery.  He was seen getting into the back of a blue Nissan Pulsar that left the scene following the offence.
