Man to face court for aggravated robbery in Manuka

A 25-year-old man of no fixed address will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 20 April 2018), following an aggravated robbery in Manuka last year.

About 11.45am on Friday, 1 December 2017, a male offender entered the Subway restaurant in Manuka armed with a knife. The offender threatened staff with the knife and made demands for cash. Staff complied and the male fled on foot in the direction of Red Hill.

ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations took carriage of the investigation and made a number of enquiries in relation to this incident.

The man will face one charge of aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon.

Police will be opposing bail.
