Man to face court charged with sexual assault

A 36-year-old Holt man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Monday, 13 March 2023) after an ACT Policing investigation into an alleged sexual assault.

In February 2023, a woman made allegations that the man engaged in sexual intercourse without her consent while she was at a reduced level of consciousness.

On Saturday, 11 March 2023, the man was arrested for unrelated matters, and on Sunday, 12 March 2023 interviewed regarding the allegations and subsequently charged.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with reckless sexual intercourse without consent and breach of good behaviour obligations.

Police are urging any victims of sexual assault, to report these criminal activities.
