Man to face court for drink driving after collision in Civic

A 29-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (5 May 2018), following a collision on Commonwealth Avenue, City overnight.

About 3:25am, a Black Toyota Hilux was observed driving dangerously in Central Canberra. A short time later the Hilux collided with a white Honda Civic on Commonwealth Avenue, City.

The driver of the Hilux was arrested at the scene and taken to City Police Station where a breath analysis returned a returned a reading of 0.143.

The man’s driver’s licence was suspended immediately.

He was charged with drive motor vehicle with alcohol in blood/breath and reckless driving.
