Man to face court over arson and property damage

A 36-year-old Deakin man will face the ACT Magistrates Court on 7 June 2017 to face charges in relation to a car fire and property damage incident that occurred in the carpark of Eternity House (Offices of the Australian Christian Lobby) in Deakin on 21 December 2016.

The incident was investigated by detectives from Criminal Investigations and ACT Policing now considers the investigation finalised.

A brief of evidence has been provided to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man will face charges of one count of arson and one count of property damage.

As this matter is subject to court proceedings, ACT Policing will not be making any further comment in relation to this investigation.
