Man to face Court on threat to kill charges
A 24-year-old Scullin man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 16 August 2017) following a search warrant executed by ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations team and Tactical Police.
About 5.40pm yesterday, Police executed a search warrant in Ngunnawal following an investigation into blackmail. Police seized a conducted energy weapon and a substance suspected to be cannabis.
The Criminal Investigations Team then executed a second search warrant in Scullin where Police located and seized a single scope from a rifle and a substance suspected to be cannabis.
The 24-year-old male has been charged with one count of make demand with threat to kill or inflict grievous bodily harm and will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where police will oppose bail.
Investigations are ongoing.
