ACT Policing are appealing to the public to provide home CCTV or dash-cam footage following investigations into the death of a 37-year-old Watson man last week.

About 7.45pm on Thursday 3 November, police were called to a disturbance by a woman at a residence in Windeyer Street, Watson. On arrival, police located a man who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The woman had not sustained injuries.

Following investigations over the weekend, police can confirm that two offenders attended the residence where a disturbance occurred and the 37-year-old male was shot. The offenders fled the scene on foot before emergency services arrived.

The incident is believed to be targeted and there is no threat to public safety.

ACT Policing, along with AFP Forensic Services, have completed an extensive examination of the crime scene over the weekend.

Investigations are ongoing and police are now appealing to the public to submit home CCTV or dash-cam footage from the suburb of Watson, between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday 3 November.

Police are also appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward.

Anyone with footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
