Police investigate death in Griffith

ACT Policing are investigating a death in Griffith which occurred this afternoon (Monday 29 February).

About 4.30pm, police responded to a call to the Stuart Flats located on Light Street, Griffith.

Police attended the flats and located a deceased male.

A male is assisting police with their enquiries.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations team members attended and examined the scene and will be assisted by AFP Forensic Services.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations team will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be prepared for the ACT Coroner.

Police are treating the death as suspicious. Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious near Light Street, Griffith today to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
