Police investigate multiple burglaries across Canberra

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to multiple burglaries across Fyshwick, Phillip, Mitchell, Mawson and Yarralumla late Monday night (30 November).

About 11.00pm police attended Spice of Life in Kembla Street, Fyshwick where the front window of the store had been rammed and attempts were made to steal a safe.

Further reports were made from business including Wok It Up in Phillip, Subway in Mawson, Yarralumla Meats, and Mull Up in Mitchell, where the offender’s caused substantial damage to the property and stole cash a sum of cash.

The first offender is described as male, approximately 180 to 190cm tall,  wearing a black jumper with the hood pulled over his head and dark Adidas pants (pictured).

The second offender is described as male, approximately 185 to 195cm tall, wearing an orange high visible jumper with the hood pulled over his head, full face scarf, black pants and holding a sledge hammer.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations believe the vehicle involved in the burglaries to be a grey Toyota Camry (pictured) and CCTV vision is currently being obtained from the locations.

Police are urging anyone who may have information about the vehicle, or anyone who may have witnessed the aggravated burglaries or any suspicious activity between 11.00pm Monday (30 November) and the early hours of Tuesday (1 December) in Fyshwick, Phillip, Mawson, Yarralumla, or Mitchell to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
