Police investigate suspicious package in Kippax - UPDATE
UPDATE:
In regards to the suspicious package found in Kippax today, ACT Policing can confirm that there is no threat to public safety.
Investigations are ongoing and the precinct has resumed trading as usual.
We would like to thank the Canberra community for their patience during the incident.

ACT Policing are assessing a suspicious package which was placed inside the St George Bank in Kippax at approximately 5pm today (Friday, 6 October 2017).
The bank and surrounding areas have been evacuated as a precaution whilst we assess the item.
Please avoid the area whilst this assessment is undertaken.
