Police praise Skyfire 2016 crowd

ACT Policing has praised the behaviour of the large crowd which attended the Skyfire fireworks event over Lake Burley Griffin last night (Saturday, March 19).

Around 10 missing children were reported during the evening, but were reunited with their parents using the help of the free identity wristbands handed out by ACT Policing at the event.

Police took one young person (down from eight young persons in 2015) into protective custody for alcohol-related issues. Two young persons were identified to be in possession of cannabis and were issued fines.

One adult male was taken into custody for traffic related matters.
