Police seek to identify suspicious man

ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspicious man involved in an incident in Belconnen on Monday, 7 August 2023.  

About 12pm, the man was observed appearing to film a woman and her daughter on his mobile phone for a significant period of time without their knowledge or permission as they walked through the mall.  

A short time later, the man was confronted by other shoppers, before fleeing the area on foot.  

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 40-to-50-years-old, about 180cm (5’11”) tall, with a thin build.  

He was wearing a grey, long-sleeved top, dark pants, and a grey beanie at the time of the incident.
