Police seek witnesses to mass vehicle damage and theft

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to multiple incidents of vehicle damage and theft that occurred in Mawson, Farrer and Isaacs between Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 April.

Police have received 17 reports of incidents concerning vehicles around the suburbs within a 2.5km radius.

Multiple vehicles were broken into, with a number of items stolen including cash, membership cards, sunglasses, cameras and books. Police have recovered several items discarded a short distance away from the incidents.

One witness told police they saw a silver hatchback leaving the scene at speed.

Police are urging anyone who saw suspicious persons or activity in this area, or has any information that may assist the investigation to contact ACT Policing on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
