Police seek witnesses to road rage incident in Belconnen

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of a road rage incident that occurred in Belconnen on Monday, 2 July 2018.

About 9.15am, a blue Subaru Impreza and silver Toyota Camry Conquest travelled from Bindubi Street, Macquarie onto Belconnen Way.

The vehicles then turned onto Springvale Drive, onto Coniston Street and then onto Beetaloo Street, before returning to Belconnen Way.

The incident ended when the Toyota Camry Conquest turned onto Petterd Street, Page.

It is alleged the driver of the Toyota Camry Conquest was driving erratically, tailgating the Subaru Impreza and used threatening language and gestures.

The vehicle is described as a silver Toyota Camry Conquest with dents across the body and partial ACT registration beginning with ‘YKV’.

The driver of the Toyota Camry Conquest is described as being a man aged in his 40s or 50s, with dark hair, unshaven and a thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper.

Police are also seeking any dash cam footage in the area at the time of the incident.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information, witnessed the incident or has any dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
