Police seek witnesses to sexual assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a sexual assault at the underpass located under Commonwealth Avenue, on Friday, 29 December 2017.

Between 3.00pm and 4.00pm, a female was using the underpass to cross Commonwealth Avenue, when she was approached by a male person, not known to her.

The female was sexually assaulted by the male before she was able to escape.

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 176cm tall, fair complexion, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, with sandy coloured hair and clean shaven. The male was allegedly wearing a yellow coloured Polo shirt, with dark coloured suit trousers and shoes.

A face-fit of the male has been provided.

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the sexual assault or who may have any information that could assist, to call Police on 131 444.
