Police seek witnesses to shots fired in Kambah

Witnesses sought

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives are investigating shots fired into a Kambah residence around 9pm on Saturday, 16 July. No one was injured during this incident.

Police believe this incident to be Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) related.

Police are following all lines of enquiry, however the victim has chosen not to cooperate with police at this stage.

Detective Acting Superintendent of Criminal Investigations Marcus Boorman said this is the second recent OMCG related incident police are investigating this month.

“While these incidents are serious, they are specifically directed at OMCG members. There would be no benefit for deliberately involving innocent members of our community.

“I would like to reassure the community that Canberra remains a very safe city to reside in. Though we are not immune to the presence of OMCGs, police actively monitor their activities,” said Detective Acting Superintendent Boorman.
