Police seeking dash-cam footage or witnesses of dangerous driving incident in Acton

ACT Policing is seeking dash-cam footage or witnesses of a dangerous driving incident that occurred in Acton yesterday (Sunday, 4 February 2018).

About 11.40am, police received reports of erratic, dangerous driving by a person in a gold Holden Calais in Acton.

The vehicle allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Barry Drive and Clunies Ross Street before losing control, running off the road and hitting a road sign before continuing on Clunies Ross Street. A number of other vehicles were hit by the Holden Calais during this incident.

The occupants of the vehicle were last seen abandoning the vehicle on foot, heading towards Parkes Way.

The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from a residence in Gungahlin on 3 February 2018.

Police are urging anyone who may have dash-cam footage or any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
