Police seeking witnesses to collision between a car and motorbike in Wanniassa

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle on Athllon Drive, Wanniassa yesterday morning.

About 7.30am (Thursday, 23 May 2024), a 55-year-old man was travelling southbound on Athllon Drive, when he was struck by a red Mitsubishi Outlander traveling northbound, just before the intersection with Sulwood Drive.

Police and emergency services attended, with ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treating the man at the scene before transporting him to hospital in a serious condition.

Several members of the public, including the driver of the Outlander, stopped and rendered assistance to the motorcyclist.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
