ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to several instances of erratic and dangerous driving in Canberra’s inner north and south on Saturday afternoon.

From about midday (Saturday, 10 February 2024), police received multiple calls about a white Haval with ACT registration YQY65A driving erratically in Civic, Reid, Campbell and Narrabundah.

Police located the vehicle in Barton and observed the driver exceeding the posted speed limit and swerving across multiple lanes.

A short time later, the Haval collided with a BMW on Kings Avenue.

Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the Haval was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the Haval being driven throughout the day, or who may have dash-cam footage.

Anyone who can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.  Please quote 7670443. Information can be provided anonymously.
