Reckless driver facing court

A 31-year-old Turner woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 23 September) charged with several traffic offences.

About 10am yesterday (Thursday 22 September 2016), police were conducting a mobile patrol when they observed a green Holden Commodore sedan driving on Isabella Drive, Chisholm.

The vehicle appeared to accelerate towards the roundabout between Isabella Drive and Goldstein Crescent when it began to lose control, sliding side to side. The vehicle then mounted the kerb and collided with the rear fence of a house.

At the time several workman were located in the centre of the roundabout and took evasive action to actively avoid the vehicle.

The driver was apprehended and taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with offences relating to furious/reckless/dangerous driving, use unregistered/suspended vehicle and driving while disqualified.
