Seeking witnesses to Dunlop collision

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses and dash cam footage following a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Ginninderra Drive in Dunlop on Monday (3 April 2017).

About 5:45pm, a black Toyota Rukus was travelling along Ginninderra Drive Dunlop towards Belconnen, when it veered onto the wrong side of the road, driving into oncoming traffic between Florey Drive and Lance Hill Avenue.

A grey Mazda sedan travelling the opposite direction attempted to move out of the path of the oncoming vehicle by mounting the curb however the vehicles collided, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

The occupant(s) of the Toyota exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, failing to provide their full details.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and transported the occupants of the Mazda, a female and two children, to hospital.

ACT Policing is urging the driver of the Toyota to contact police on 131 444 or by attending any police station. It is an offence for parties to not exchange details after a collision and all collisions must be reported to police within 24 hours.
