Suspicious Package at City Police Station

At approximately 8.15am this morning (Friday, 28 October 2016) ACT Policing responded to reports of a suspicious package outside the City Police Station.

As a precaution., the police station and surrounding buildings were evacuated. A section of London Circuit and Knowles Place were also closed whilst police assessed the package.

ACT Policing can confirm that the package, a backpack, was found to be no threat to public safety.

A male was assisting police with enquiries.
