Teenager to face court
A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested in Kambah yesterday (Wednesday, October 26) after police received a report of a male loitering in the area with a knife in his hand.
About 11.10am, police attended Jenke Circuit, Kambah after the male was last seen entering a shop hiding the knife.
Police located a male matching the description given by the complainant and escorted him outside.
A search of the male located a spring-loaded folding knife in the suspect’s pocket and a large hunting knife, clown mask, balaclava and drug paraphernalia in his backpack.
The young male was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with providing a false name/address and two counts of possessing a knife without reasonable excuse.
He will face the ACT Children’s Court on 21 November, 2016.
