A 41-year-old Victorian man will face the ACT Magistrates court this morning on a charge of possessing a trafficable quantity of cannabis.

Yesterday (Monday, 4 June 2018) ACT Policing members made a traffic stop of a utility in Belconnen.

The driver gave consent to a search being conducted of his vehicle, and during the search, three large bags of cannabis were found in a compartment in the back tray of the vehicle. The weight of the cannabis was later measured at approximately 18 kilograms.

The man was arrested and taken to City Police Station, where he was charged with possession of a trafficable quantity of a prohibited substance.
