Two to face court for aggravated robbery in Holt

A 23-year-old Holt man and a 16-year-old male teenager will face court today (Saturday, 14 October) following the aggravated robbery of the 7-11 service station in Holt on Friday 6 October 2017.

About 3.10am, the man and teenager allegedly entered the service station armed with a hatchet, approached the counter and made demands for cash. The staff member complied and the cash tray containing cash was stolen. The man and teenager left the service station heading north towards Holt McDonald’s.

Belconnen General Duties Officers conducted a search warrant at an address in Holt yesterday (Friday, 13 October), and the man and teenager were taken into custody.

The 23-year-old will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with aggravated robbery (in company) and damage property. Police will oppose bail.

The 16-year-old will face ACT Children’s court today charged with aggravated robbery (in company) and ride/drive motor vehicle without consent.
