UPDATE Deceased woman located in Barton hotel

Update issued approximately 8.30pm, Tuesday, 5 March 2024

While police continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident, the woman’s death does not appear to be suspicious.  

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

ACT Policing is investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman in a Barton hotel earlier today.    

About 1.15pm (Tuesday, 5 March 2024), police responded to reports a woman had been located deceased in a hotel room on National Circuit, Barton.    

At this time, investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident.
