UPDATE Police seek wanted man Lachlan Porreca ARRESTED

The 27-year-old man we posted about last week has been located and returned to the Adult Mental Health Unit.

ACT Policing is seeking information from the public to assist in locating wanted 27-year-old man Lachlan Porreca.  

Lachlan is wanted by police in relation to a number of serious driving offences. After being arrested for these offences last month (April 2023) Lachlan was ordered to undergo a mental health assessment at The Canberra Hospital.

He escaped from the hospital’s Adult Mental Health Unit on 29 April 2023 and members of ACT Policing’s Operation TORIC have made numerous attempts to locate Lachlan since.   

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm (5’11”) tall, with a slim build, fair complexion, short brown hair, and blue eyes. He has arm tattoos as well as a distinctive tattoo of a crown on his right hand.

Police believe Lachlan is actively avoiding police. Members of the public are urged not to approach Lachlan, but to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 (please quote reference 7416919) to report any information regarding his whereabouts.
