UPDATE - Police seek witnesses to house fire VEHICLE IDENTIFIED

Suspicious fire

ACT Policing has identified the black Ute following information received from the public.

We would like to thank the Canberra community for their assistance.

The vehicle is a black Holden Commodore SS Ute with Western Australian registration 1EXH189.

Police urge anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the ACT on Thursday, 7 June 2018, and may have dash-cam or CCTV footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a house fire that occurred in Mawson on Thursday (7 June 2018).

About 12:00pm, members of the public observed a residence in Hurley Street to be alight.

ACT Fire & Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze. The fire was deemed suspicious and referred to police for further investigation.

No one was home during this incident. Witnesses also reported seeing a black ute in the area shortly before the fire.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information or dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
