Witnesses sought after shots fired in Kambah

OMCG member to face Court following seizure of drugs, firearms, ammunition and explosives

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives are investigating shots fired into a Kambah residence around 11.30pm last night (Sunday, 23 October).

Police believe this incident to be Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) related. No one was injured during this incident.

Police are following all lines of enquiry, however the victim has chosen not to cooperate with police.

Detective Acting Superintendent of Criminal Investigations Marcus Boorman said this is the fourth OMCG related incident police are investigating in the past three months.

“While these incidents are serious, they are specifically directed at OMCG members. There would be no benefit for deliberately involving innocent members of the community,” Detective Acting Superintendent Boorman said.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the vicinity of Chirnside Circuit in Kambah around 11.30pm last night or have information that could assist police in their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
