Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery of vehicle

ACT Policing is investigating the aggravated robbery of a vehicle in Giralang on Saturday (23 September).

About 5.50pm, the victim met with a male and a female at 7-Eleven at the Giralang shops, with the intention of selling his vehicle.

The male offender and the victim took the vehicle for a test drive before entering the Giralang Primary School car park on Atalumba Close. The offender then produced a knife and demanded the victim get out of the car. The victim complied and the male fled the area in the vehicle. The female followed, driving a red Toyota Hatchback.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2003 black Volkswagen Golf GTI, with ACT licence plates YJG 21R. The vehicle has a “Division One” sticker across the top of the windscreen.
