Witnesses sought to assault in Weetangera

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an alleged assault that occurred between a member of the public and a driver in Weetangera on Monday, 23 October 2023. 

Between about 7.30pm and 7.45pm, a man approached the driver of a red Ford Falcon and allegedly assaulted him on Gillespie Street, Weetangera. 

The driver suffered significant facial injuries as a result of the assault. 

The man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to this matter. 

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed or may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
