ACT Policing is seeking to identify a male after an aggravated robbery was interrupted by police on Saturday (3 December).

About 9pm, police were patrolling Theodore Street in Curtin, when they observed a vehicle parked opposite the Statesman Hotel. A male exited the vehicle, dressed in dark clothing with his face covered, carrying what appeared to be a knife, and began walking towards the hotel.

Police activated their emergency lights and the male returned to his vehicle and fled in the direction of Hughes.

The man is described as of slim build, approximately 180cm (5’11”) tall and was wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.

A second male was sighted in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper and his face was covered with a black cloth.

The vehicle is described as a white 4WD dual cab vehicle.
