ACT Police are seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery in Evatt on Friday, 8 September 2017.

About 9.10pm, the victim was walking in the park between Letters Street and Kingston Street in Evatt, when a male approached him and made demands for his belongings. When the victim did not comply, the male attacked him with a knife before fleeing on foot towards Kingston Street. A vehicle’s brake lights were seen on Kingston Street as the offender fled in that direction.

ACT Ambulance Service transported the victim to The Calvary Hospital with an injury to his forearm.

The male offender is described as approximately 180cm (5’11”) tall, with an Australian accent and wearing dark clothing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, can identify the vehicle on Kingston Street, or who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
