Witnesses sought to attempted aggravated robbery in Mawson

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery of the Mawson Club on Saturday, November 17 2018.

Around 11pm, a man entered the club and produced a handgun before he jumped over the bar and attempted to open a cash register. After failing to open the register, the man then climbed back over the counter and ran out of the front of the club.

The man was described as being 180-190cm tall (5’11-6’3”) in height and of slim build. He was wearing black pants and a black jumper and had most of his face covered.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
