Witnesses sought to bicycle path collision

ACT Policing are calling for witnesses to a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian in Belconnen on Friday, 23 December 2016.

At approximately 7:45pm, a pedestrian was struck by a cyclist while walking across a cycle path adjacent to Ginninderra Lake near Beissel Street, Belconnen.

Both the pedestrian and the cyclist fell to the ground however the cyclist re-mounted his bicycle and left the scene without providing assistance or exchanging details with the pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered a fractured arm in the collision.

The cyclist is described as male, aged in his 40’s with a light coloured beard.
