Witnesses sought to car into house collision in Harrison

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision overnight where a car collided with the front of a home in Harrison.  

About 8.00pm last night (Saturday, 27 April 2024) police and emergency services were called to a home in Cape York Street, Harrison. A silver Toyota Yaris had left the road and collided with the front of a home causing significant damage.  

Witnesses reported the vehicle travelling at high speed immediately prior to the collision. A 26-year-old Sydney man who held an international drivers licence was taken into custody. He later returned a positive breath alcohol reading.  

Investigators are seeking any witnesses or dash-cam footage of the silver Toyota Yaris in the Harrison area prior to 8.00pm last night.
