Witnesses sought to fail to stop incident in Fisher

Seeking witnesses

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage to a fail to stop incident in Fisher on Thursday, 25 January 2024. 

About 2.18pm last Thursday, police observed a black motor bike travelling on the pedestrian footpath on Badimara Street. 

Upon attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the black motorbike rider, they have failed to stop for police and fled the scene. 

Shortly after, police sighted the motor bike on Badimara Street and observed the rider collide with the gutter and fall off the motor bike. 

The rider was arrested a short distance away, and has been subsequently charged with fail to stop motor vehicle for police, unlicenced rider, and resist territory official. 

To assist with the investigation, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident on Badimara Street, or may have dash-cam footage of the motorbike prior to or during the incident.
