Witnesses sought to Florey hit and run

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a hit and run that occurred yesterday (Saturday, 17 December) where a pedestrian was struck by a car on Kreft Street, Florey.

About 6pm, a 13 year-old female was walking along Kreft Street when she was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla. The young female was knocked to the ground, suffering serious injuries.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and transported the 13-year-old female to The Canberra Hospital.

The driver of the silver Toyota Corolla fled the scene without stopping. Police located the vehicle a short time later, however investigations are continuing as to the identity of the driver.  

Police are calling for the driver of the car to come forward and make contact with police by attending a police station or calling 131-444.
