Witnesses sought to hit and run

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to a hit and run collision that occurred in Melba on Thursday 28 January 2016.

At approximately 6am, a 77-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle whilst crossing Verbrugghen Street, near the intersection of Verbrugghen Street and Brownlee Place. The woman was knocked to the ground, suffering serious injuries.

Police suspect the vehicle, which fled the scene, was a mid to late 1990’s Suzuki Swift. The vehicle will have sustained damage to the front left side.
