Witnesses sought to home invasion in Calwell

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a home invasion which occurred in Calwell yesterday, Thursday 5 January 2017.

About 1.15pm, police attended a report of a home invasion at a residence in Zincke Close, Calwell. A resident reported two men forced their way into the premises through the front door before threatening the resident with a handgun, demanding cash. The two men fled the house empty handed before police arrived.

The two males were described as being Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, in their late 20's to early 30's, with tanned skin and of a medium build. One male had a black lion head sleeve tattoo on his left upper forearm.

Police believe the incident to be targeted and there is no threat to public safety.
