Witnesses sought to suspicious fire in Red Hill

Investigations are underway after ACT Policing attended a fire in Red Hill yesterday (Saturday, 23 July).

ACT Fire & Rescue and police arrived at a unit in Discovery Street around 9:30am and located the fire in an apartment.

ACT Fire & Rescue extinguished the fire which had caused extensive damage. One other adjoining unit was also affected.

Following an analysis of the scene, police and fire investigators believe the fire was deliberately lit and deemed it suspicious.

The circumstances surrounding the fire are being investigated by Criminal Investigations detectives.
