Woman charged with drug trafficking

A 28-year-old Bonner woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning regarding drug trafficking charges.

On Thursday 6 April 2017, ACT Policing’s Regional Targeting Team executed a search warrant on a vehicle in the Chisholm Shops carpark.

During the search police located and seized a sum of cash and a number of illicit substances including 40 LSD tabs, a kilogram of cannabis and substances suspected to be cocaine and heroin.

A 28-year-old Bonner woman was arrested on drug trafficking charges and taken to the ACT Watch House. The woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.

The arrest of the 28 year old woman is a result of Operation Daltons, which is being led by ACT Policing’s Regional Targeting Team.  Operation Daltons aims to disrupt and dismantle syndicates involved in the supply of illicit drugs around licensed premises, particularly in the City entertainment precinct.
