Woman charged with drug trafficking

Charged

ACT Policing has charged a 44-year-old woman with drug trafficking and dealing in the proceeds of crime following search warrant activity yesterday (Tuesday 13 December 2022).

As a result of police receiving credible information regarding the sale and supply of illicit drugs in the ACT, officers attached to the Drugs and Organised Crime Team executed a search warrant at a residence in Conder yesterday.

As police entered the home they allegedly located the 44-year-old woman standing next to a coffee table that had a plastic bag with a white crystalline substance in it, digital scales and small clip seal bags. Police also located a vacuum sealer device, a bayonet; a shotgun shell, and approximately $10,740 in cash. Further searches allegedly located vacuum sealed bags of what is suspected to be methylamphetamine hidden in a DVD player.

The woman was subsequently charged with drug trafficking, dealing in the proceeds of crime and breach of bail. She is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today.

Anyone with any information regarding the supply and distribution of illicit drugs in the ACT is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
