Witnesses sought to pedestrian collision in city

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of a collision that involved a pedestrian in the city on Friday afternoon (18 October 2019).

About 3.10pm on Friday, a female pedestrian was crossing Coranderrk Street at the intersection with Constitution Avenue when she was struck at low speed by a blue vehicle.

The pedestrian was briefly on the bonnet of the vehicle and was then thrown to the ground. She was transported to hospital and later cleared of serious injury.

The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene without stopping to exchange details or provide assistance to the injured woman and continued northbound on Coranderrk Street.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information or dash cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6451588. Information can be provided anonymously.
